The Association is often called upon to assist others in devising culturally relevant and appropriate interventions, strategies, and by providing information about Middle East cultures through workshops and materials. OAMCD provides a professional newsletter to its constituents filled with quality articles about specific cultural groups, about cultural issues, and about events and research taking place throughout the state.  OAMCD has taken a leadership role in the area of multiculturalism and is recognized at the national level for its implementation of diversity in membership and activities, its creative strategies for obtaining members, its outstanding symposiums, and its service to others. OAMCD will continue to be of service to Ohio citizens by providing activities designed to enhance understanding of cultural diversity and to develop competency in working with culturally diverse populations.
